September 13, 2011

La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico - Getting in gear for el Día de la Independencia in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, two of the town's most popular restaurants will be going full tilt on Thursday night.

Huanacaxtle Bar & Cafe gets their Mexican Fiesta going at 8 pm and 2 blocks up the street, Philo's celebrates the completion of their remodeling project with a Grand ReOpening Party at the same time. For details on both, including how to stream Philo's party if you can't attend, click HERE.

Remember not to party TOO hard, because Friday will kick off with the La Cruz Kids' Club Bake Sale at the entrance to the Marina Riviera Nayarit, Claudia's Restaurante at 9:30 am. Chill out with some coffee and pastries and start psyching yourself up for the Marina Riviera Nayarit / Manos de Amor Pot Luck BBQ which will get going at 2:00 pm that afternoon across the harbor in the Mercado del Mar / Fish Market Public Use area at the southern end of the Marina.

This party is a public festivity open to everyone from the Bahía. Kids from the Manos de Amor Orphanage will be entertained with games and food, and you are asked to bring meat or fish to grill and a dish to share. Click HERE for details.

So, rest up and get ready to have some fun in the Bahia's favorite pueblo, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. VIVA MEXICO!
