Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Local Chef Seth Cloutman, a long time supporter / fundraiser for the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza, A.C. (R.I.S.E.), does it again with another great idea. Bringing together Vallarta restaurants yearly for a benefit supporting R.I.S.E. just wasn't enough.
This year, Seth takes the very same restaurants participating in the February 11, 2012 event and asks each of them for a favorite recipe to create the first-ever Puerto Vallarta cookbook. Not only are restaurants eligible to submit a recipe, but all of you Iron Chefs out there that can 'whip it up' in your own kitchens can also submit a recipe for consideration.
Profits from the sale of this cookbook will be split between R.I.S.E. and the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Portraits of the children from R.I.S.E. taken at the Gardens will be interspersed with recipes in English and Spanish, as well as pictures of each recipe.
No Way José! will be sharing one of our favorite recipes... our Xochimilco Spinach-Stuffed Chicken Breast. Look for details on the launch event as we get closer to the date.
