Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico - The second of four jazz concerts to be held this season at the Vallarta Yacht Club by the Banderas Bay Jazz All Stars will take place on Monday, December 12th. Already well worth the price of admission, the recent addition of drummer Lazaro Poey to the group has really rounded out the Banderas Bay Jazz All Star putting them on a new level.
Poey, a graduate of the Cuban Institute Superior of Art not only adds a new dimension to the All Stars but he personally takes drumming to a new level. He has represented Cuba on several occasions, touring Europe with a group whose members included Chilean born Pianist, Carlos Mass and has performed at jazz festivals in Spain, France Germany, Rome, Sicily, and Austria. He has also more recently performed with groups led by Tom Coster, and the Gemajazz Group.
Everyone is invited to join in and enjoy a night of smooth Jazz at the Yacht Club with sax and flute player Bryan Savage, keyboardist Chas Eller, bass player Tom Lilienthal and drummer Lazaro Poey. Tickets for the dinner concert are $250 pesos for VYC Members and $300 pesos for non-members, and are available at the Vallarta Yacht Club.
