Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The long awaited opening of the Old Town Farmers Market-Tianguis Cultural on the street will take place this Saturday December 10th. The community is invited to join Vendors and local officials for the ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place at 9:30 am at the corner of calle Pino Suarez and B. Badillo.
Every Saturday you will find Calle Pino Suarez closed between B. Badillo and V. Carranza and filled with more than 60 Vendors who offer a wide variety of locally produced products such as fresh farm produce, artisan foods, unique arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, community education and live entertainment.
After browsing the Market, be sure to visit the food court located inside the Emiliano Zapata school where you will find a great selection of freshly made foods and drinks for you to enjoy at one of the communal tables.
In keeping with the philosophy of "make it, bake it, grow it," the Old Town Farmers Market-Tianguis Cultural is Vallarta's only "producer" market where the products are made, baked, grown and sold by the Vendors, all whom live within 50 kilometers of Puerto Vallarta.
The Old Town Farmers Market - Tianguis Cultural has fast become one of Puerto Vallarta's most compelling weekend attractions where you can meet new friends, say hello to old ones, talk directly to the producers, buy great products, and support the local economy.
Join us this Saturday for the official opening and every Saturday from November to May between 9:30 am and 1 pm on Pino Suarez between B. Badillo and V. Carranza. There is plenty of parking available in the Lazaro Cardenas parkade located across the street from the Market.
