January 10, 2012

Donations are the only source of funding to provide food, shelter and veterinary care for the 250 felines in residence at Purr Project, and events like this help provide those necessities.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Circle your calendar for Thursday, January 12th so you don't miss the opportunity to add some pizzazz to your wardrobe and do a "good thing" all at the same time. Kathleen Palmer of Deja New is teaming up with Casa Isabel and PuRR Project no-kill feline rescue shelter for this month's Fashion Show benefit.

The fun starts with an open bar so don't be late! Local models will feature an assortment of fashions for all ages & sizes from Kathleen's popular consignment shops, Deja New and Deja New Too. The show starts at 12:30 and afterwards Isabel will serve a delicious lunch... all for $250 pesos. As usual, there will be loads of great prizes in the raffle and also unique items in the Silent Auction. It makes for a great Thursday afternoon so invite all your friends.

PuRR Project now has over 250 adorable cats and kittens in residence. Donations are the only source of funding to provide food, shelter and veterinary care for these rescued animals and events like this help provide those necessities. For more information on this local charity, check their website at PurrProject.com.

This is sure to be a sold-out event so advance tickets may be purchased at Deja New located at 280 Jacarandas in Old Town or 350 Vienna in Versalles. You can also pick them up at Cassandra Shaw Jewelry on Basilio Badillo or the PuRR Project booth on Saturdays at the Paradise Community Center Market on Pulpito. Reserve tickets by email to Linda at lbrasseal(at)yahoo.com.

Purr Project is a Non-Profit shelter in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico that provides homeless cats and kittens a recuperative stay with the ultimate goal to adopt them out to loving homes. All of our residents have been sterilized, vaccinated and are disease free. We accomplish this through our own efforts as well as collaboratively with other animal welfare organizations. Both monetary donations as well as donations of dry cat food are most welcome – and much appreciated. For more information, visit PurrProject.com or send an email to info(at)purrproject.com.
