Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Mexico's Pacific Treasure will host two extraordinary golf tournaments for the industry professionals that will visit our destination during this year's Tianguis Turístico.

Two of the most beautiful golf courses in the country have been chosen to celebrate important competitions for participants of the Tianguis Turístico 2012, which we'll be co-hosting with Puerto Vallarta.

Golf is one of the main appeals of Riviera Nayarit, as we have 6 professional golf courses. In order to introduce these to buyers and to the main commercial partners of the Mexican touristic industry, we've organized tournaments at the El Tigre Golf & Country Club in Nuevo Vallarta, and at the Punta Mita-Pacifico course.

Punta Mita is an exclusive residential community that has been getting a lot of attention in recent months due to visiting celebrities and movie stars. It offers two golf courses designed by acclaimed Jack Nicklaus, one of which will welcome the personalities that will attend the Tianguis.

The Punta Mita Golf Tournament Edicion Tianguis 2012, Riviera Nayarit - Mexico will be played on March 24, and the 72 competitors that will be invited by the sponsoring United Airlines will have to opportunity to test their skills at the emblematic 3-B hole, better known as the "Tail of the Whale".

El Tigre Golf & Country Club will be hosting the second competition, and the course has already been classified as one of the best courses in the world according to Rolex. Its challenging design was conceived by Von Hagge, Smelek, & Barig Design, and has allowed it to host important international tournaments like PGA's Copa de las Americas (America's Cup) and the LPGA's Futures Tour's Riviera Nayarit Classic.

El Tigre Edición Tianguis 2012 Riviera Nayarit-México tournament will also take place on March 24th and tee-off is at 9:00 am. The competition will be open to all participants of the Tianguis, with a limit of 92 players, so it's recommended to book well in advance.
