Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - A collection of photographs depicting the colorful splendor of Havana, the capital of the Republic of Cuba, as well as the diverse landscapes of the Riviera Nayarit, is now being exhibited at the University of Guadalajara's Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta.)
The spectacular display of photos, which ends on April 27th, was opened to the public in the lobby of the Juan Luis Cifuentes Auditorium by the rector of the campus, Dr. Max Greig, and Campus Coordinator of Culture, Gustavo Angeles Garcia.
The photo exhibition, entitled "A journey of Color from Havana to Riviera Nayarit," is the work of professional photographer Kiadeh Mansur who, on the opening night of the exhibit, spoke to attendees to explain the images and techniques.
Mansur uses a technique called High Dynamic Range (HDR photography) which consists of three photographs taken at different exposures, one over exposed, one correctly exposed, and one under exposed, joining them together to get a picture which includes all the possible highlights.
The exhibition contains photographs of various locations in Sayulita, Bucerias, Rincon de Guayabitos, and Puerto Vallarta, in conjunction with panoramic shots of the neighborhoods and streets of Havana.
