About the Charities
All of the charities Bingo supported by this season's Bingo games are Puerto Vallarta Civil Associations (non-profit organizations) formed by groups that offer everyone the opportunity to enhance the lives of those who are in need of help, such as:
• Improving the quality of life of older adults
• Sheltering 53 children up to the age of seventeen
• Aiding the visually impaired
• Providing help and support for low income families that have been affected by cancer
• Alleviating hunger and malnutrition
• Sheltering unwanted cats & kittens
To date, most of these charitable organizations have had no financial support from the authorities. Occasionally some process permits for a social event to raise funds, as their operating costs are covered by fundraising events, cash or in-kind donations, and support from professional services and people of good will. However, this still is not enough, services and treatments are very expensive in addition to not always having the resources to cover all of the day-to-day operating expenses.
