Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Argentine Tango... the dance that fires the imagination of Buenos Aires nights and bodies entwined with legs flying in late-night milongas. That certain sound of the bandoneon and violins drifting into the street.
At 8:00 pm on Friday, March 30, at Los Arcos Amphitheater, Jaimes Friedgen and Christa Rodriguez will bring the dance alive at a free concert presented by the Puerto Vallarta Department of Culture, Hotel Rosita, and Tango Centro.
Steeped in the authentic roots of Argentine Tango, Jaimes and Christa live and thrive for the dance and the opportunity to share it with others as dancers and as teachers.
Jaimes, a dancer of extraordinary accomplishment, is hailed for his beautiful movement and musicality, while Christa moves across the dance floor with a presence that is both strong and seductive. Beautiful, elegant, improvisational moves define their dance... a finely tuned partnership of balanced give and take.
Jaimes and Christa make their home in Sweden but travel the world most of the year teaching and performing at major Tango festivals across the maps of the US and Europe. For the past two weeks Puerto Vallarta tango dancers have enjoyed their presence and the opportunity to learn and develop from this outstanding team.
The community is invited to join Jaimes and Christa at Los Arcos Amphitheater in downtown Puerto Vallarta on Friday, March 30th at 8:00 pm for a rare treat.
