Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - Mexico’s Pacific Treasure is one of the most enticing settings for sport fishing lovers. Wahoo, sailfish, dolphin-fish, tuna, three different species of marlin, sawfish and snapper guarantee a great fishing experience year-round.

And now, Riviera Nayarit is getting ready or two of the most important fishing events in Mexico: the 52° International Fishing Tournament in San Blas from May 30 to June 3, and the 1st International Fishing Tournament in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle from October 10-14, 2012.

Two years ago, Club de Pesca Tepic (Tepic’s Sport Fishing Club) made history during the 50th San Blas International Fishing Tournament by offering millions of pesos in prizes, and this year they will raise the bar once again.

This year's tournament, hosted by Fonatur’s Nautical School at the historic Port of San Blas, offers over $2,000,000 pesos in prizes, and will welcome over 100 competitors.

The enrollment fee per team is $19,000 pesos, which includes the Sailfish Jackpot. Tepic’s Sport Fishing Club is also organizing the 1st International Fishing Tournament in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle this year, with competitions taking place from October 10-14, 2012. Event details will be posted as more information is made available.
