Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - For those of you still in Vallarta for the summer, please help us put some pesos in the "kitty" by joining us for Summer Kitty BINGO on Tuesday afternoons at 5 pm at the Paradise Community Center. Located at Pulpito #127 in Old Town (across from Coco's Kitchen) the center has plenty of shaded area with ceiling fans, plus drinks and pizza or burgers available.
We had a decent first summer bingo on June 12th – between the bingo card sales and the 50/50 raffle, we took in $2500 pesos – enough to pay Jose’s salary for a week, with some left over for cat food. Another positive, the nice guy who won the 50/50 raffle ($1000 pesos) gave it all back to us, and even agreed to having his picture taken in Joanne’s cat ears.
This week, local chanteuse Mikki Prost will once again call the numbers and great prizes await the lucky persons who shout "Meow!" A 50/50 raffle will add to the excitement.
What could be more fun on a warm June evening? We will continue at this location every other Tuesday throughout the summer as long as we have enough participation to warrant it, so please help us get the word out!
Bring an item on our Wish List and receive one free BINGO card: Frontline Spray, Clumping Litter, Diamond Kitten Food (available at PetHome), Kirkland Adult Cat Food (Costco), Cat toys, Hand Gel - disinfectant, Laundry Soap.
PuRR Project now has over 250 adorable cats and kittens in residence. Donations are the only source of funding to provide food, shelter and veterinary care for these rescued animals and events like this help provide those necessities.
Purr Project is a Non-Profit shelter in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico that provides homeless cats and kittens a recuperative stay with the ultimate goal to adopt them out to loving homes. All of our residents have been sterilized, vaccinated and are disease free. We accomplish this through our own efforts as well as collaboratively with other animal welfare organizations. Both monetary and dry cat food donations are most welcome – and much appreciated. For more information, or to schedule a visit to the shelter, please visit PurrProject.com or send an email to info(at)purrproject.com.
