Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In an effort to provide golfers with a better experience, improvements are currently being made to Flamingos Golf Course. According to course manager Claudi Staines, all par 3 tee boxes are being extended, and the course's 2nd hole is being completely upgraded.
As one of the seven golf courses in the Banderas Bay region that are endorsed by the Mexican Golf Federation, Flamingos has been a cornerstone of Riviera Nayarit's touristic development.
Built in 1970, Flamingos was the first golf course in the Vallarta area. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and palm trees, the 6,853 yard-long, par 72 championship course combines gently sloping fairways with natural lagoons, marshes and estuaries where over 100 bird species as well as crocodiles, turtles, hares, raccoons, and even several elusive deer thrive.
Staines also announced that Mexican players can enjoy special rates by showing membership credentials from other golf clubs in Mexico, which means they can enjoy morning rounds for $850 pesos and twilight rounds (after 3:30 pm) for $40 USD, through October 31.
Flamingos Golf Club offers a unique golfing experience in a challenging but enjoyable classic design course for players of all skill levels. There is no question that its natural landscape and maturity, as well as its green fee value, make Flamingos one of the most attractive golfing options in the Puerto Vallarta area.
