Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - La Leche restaurant in Puerto Vallarta has been nominated for the 2nd consecutive year by prestigious Travel + Leisure magazine as among the best in Mexico.
In 2011, Travel + Leisure nominated La Leche in the "Best Restaurant Concept" category, which the restaurant won after consideration by a jury of thirty specialists. This year, La Leche was awarded a nomination in the category "Best Artistic Plate" category.
La Leche is the only restaurant in Puerto Vallarta nominated for an award; a testament to the intriguing concept and high quality cuisine of the restaurant which is owned by famous chefs Alfonso Cadena and his father Ignacio Cadena.
This year's nomination for "Best Artistic Plate” will judged alongside other restaurants of distinction from all across the country - for the artful creation of the menu, the components on the plate, the combination of flavors, presentation and color, and of course, how it presents to the guest.
On November 9th, at this year’s International Gourmet Festival, La Leche will return to present "Obsession + Passion," a unique menu prepared in conjunction with Chef Elena Reygada from the prestigious Rosetta restaurant, and the famous Chocolatie, Chef José Ramón Castillo. Sommelier Agustin Rodriguez, President of the Mexican Association of Sommeliers, will offer 12 wine pairings to accompany the dishes.
