Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta's Institute of Culture, directed by Sergio Zepeda, is organizing a series of rock concerts where talented musicians from around the area will compete for the title of "Best Young Rock Band." The battle will be held on the malecon at the Los Arcos stage.
The first concert of this free competition which will be open to all of the amateur rock bands in Vallarta, will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 6:30 pm and will continue over the next four weekends. The public is invited to cheer on the bands while professionals from the local music industry will judge the event.
The main objective of this Battle of the Bands is to show the musical talent that is being cultivated in the Cuale Cultural Center under the instruction of Maestro Octavio Suro.
Registration for musical study at the Cuale Cultural Center, which includes violin, guitar, and Latin American instruments, is now open. The fee for workshops is $100 pesos and the monthly fee is $250 pesos.
