Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - On Wednesday, February 13th, at 9:30 am, The River Cafè, renowned restaurant nestled on the Rio Cuale in the Romantic Zone, will host Becas Vallarta’s 4th breakfast of the season. Friends and supporters always look forward to this venue with its genial owner, Evangelina Sanches, gracing the scene and greeting the attendees.
Eva and her staff are preparing a mouth-watering menu for the event. Here is what is you can look forward to: Champagne Flute Fruit Cocktail with Yogurt and Granola (for all) with selection of Ham and Cheese Omelette with River Hash Browns or Chilaquiles in Red Sauce and traditional Machaca along with Fresh Brewed Coffee and fresh squeezed Orange Juice with homemade Sweet Breads to enjoy.
Becas Breakfasts have become traditional with Vallarta folks and are always a sellout. With the good food, the gathering of good friends, and the myriad of raffle and silent auction items, there is something for everyone. The hilarious Gil Givens calls the raffle and his repartee keeps everyone laughing as they are checking to see if they have the number he called. Raffle prizes, donated by Vallarta’s finest establishments, will be announced next week, so stay tuned.
Tickets are still only $150 pesos and must be purchased or reserved in advance. For your tickets see any member of Becas or call Polly at 223-1371 - email: phvicars(at)gmail.com.
This is the last breakfast before the March 8th Becas Ball. Then we will close out the season on April 17th at the ever popular Coco’s Kitchen. You won’t want to miss any of these upcoming events, all of them serve two purposes - good fun, and the knowledge that your participation is helping to change the lives of our 400 scholarship students. So be sure to call!
