Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit - The Vallarta Yacht Club (VYC) successfully concluded the Día de la Marina Regatta as part of the 2013 Día de la Marina celebration. With winds up to 14 knots, an enthusiastic group of sailors held a friendly competition to honor the Mexican Navy, who not only supervises the Mexican Coastline and Oceans but also assures the surveillance and safety of the many regattas around the country.

The Naval Ship "Pajaritos" and its crew served as the Race Committee boat. AT VYC we are very excited to see the emerging group of youth sailors from the Marina de Mexico, led by Captain Carlos Ancona. Besides being great sailors these young people are also a respectful and enthusiastic group, who share a deep love for the ocean. It is a true privilege to the Vallarta Yacht Club to witness the rapid development of these sailors.
