The process to receive a AAA rating ranks as one of the most long and difficult of the accrediting restaurant processes. Restaurants complete and submit an application for consideration. Those restaurants that are accepted are visited secretly by reviewers during a one-year window. Restaurants that pass the strict criteria, which includes food, décor, and service among 45 areas reviewed, receive the news of their acceptance by a personal letter from AAA.
