Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Just when you thought it couldn't get any hotter this summer, Puerto Vallarta's first-responders have added fire to the flames with the soon-to-be-released official 2014 Heroes Calendar featuring the department's finest.

And like the benevolent firefighters they are, 100% of the proceeds from the sale go directly to support the latest training programs that help firefighters and lifeguards overcome the modern challenges they face and to support community education such as Fire Safe Kids.

Fire Safe Kids is a FREE summer educational program offered to children ages 8 to 16 and presented, now in its fifth year, by the Puerto Vallarta Fire Department and Civil Protection. This dynamic hands-on program teaches youngsters important fire prevention and water safety skills.

Participating students are learning positive fire safety behaviors that will extend into adulthood. Fire safety behaviors learned through the curriculum have already been attributed to saving lives. Over one thousand students have attended the fast-moving and informative program since its inception.

Los Bomberos de Puerto Vallarta Aumentan la Temperatura!

Justo cuando pensabas que no podría ser más caliente este verano, los primeros en responder a emergencias en Puerto Vallarta han aumentado el fuego a las flamas con el Calendario Oficial Heroes 2014, el cuál será presentado pronto, con los mejores del departamento. Y como buenos Bomberos que son, 100% de las ventas irá directamente para apoyar los últimos programas de capacitación que ayudan a los bomberos y salvavidas a atravesar los retos modernos que enfrentan, así como para apoyar la educación comunitaria como Niños a Salvo del Fuego (Fire Safe Kids).

Niños a Salvo del Fuego es un programa educativo GRATUITO ofrecido a niños de 8 a 16 años, y realizado por 5to año por el Departamento de Bomberos y Protección Civil de Puerto Vallarta. Niños a Salvo es un programa dinámico y práctico que enseña a los más jóvenes lo importante que es la prevención del fuego así como habilidades de seguridad en el agua.

Participando, los estudiantes aprenden comportamientos positivos y de seguridad con fuego, que permanecerán hasta la edad adulta. Los comportamientos de seguridad con el fuego aprendidos durante el plan de estudios han sido atribuidos ya para salvar vidas.
