Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - The Fifth Touristic Half Marathon of Riviera Nayarit is set to take place on November 23rd and the Conventions and Visitors Bureau is revving up the engines to not only increase the number of participants in the event but also to enhance the experience for the spectators.

Event organizers have the support of the Mexican Athletics Federation, and the Athletics Association of Nayarit - which is endorsed by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) - and are working to bring you the best services before and during the event.

A Beautiful Route

Extraordinary natural scenery, golf courses, a marina, hotel infrastructure, ocean views, and over 10K of channels await on the route to welcome runners as they enjoy competing in an setting which combines celebrations, friendship, and sports.

On previous editions of this race, the destination caught the attention of the AIMS representatives which did the official measuring of the route. The officials proclaimed that they hadn't ever had an experience like the one offered by this route in the more than 150 destinations that they had covered.

Tourism Ramifications

Since the creation of the Riviera Nayarit brand six years ago, a priority for the industry has been to attract high quality tourism that poses a low environmental impact. Mexican and international runners are invited to participate in the fifth edition of the Touristic "Half Marathon and 10K of Riviera Nayarit," which will take place on the main avenues of Nuevo Vallarta‘s touristic development on November 23, 2013.
