Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The Puerto Vallarta firefighters and lifeguards turned up the heat at the 2014 Calendar Release Party. The event, held at Encuentros Pizza Pasta Bar Lounge on October 11th, attracted over 200 people and featured appearances by the calendar models, a live auction, entertainment by Piel Canela, a photo booth, and a raffle.

Nearly $40,000 pesos were raised, thanks to Clark Lipe, Darwin Halfin, and other attendees, who bid generously on auction items provided by Casa Isabel, Canto del Sol, Vallarta Adventures, La Perla GDL Bed & Breakfast, Casa Dorothy, Xocodiva, and the Puerto Vallarta Fire Department.
"This event serves as a reminder of the enormous risks taken by emergency responders on a daily basis," remarked Elroy Quenroe, who graciously donated his winnings from the 50/50 raffle back to the Bomberos. "We are grateful for your life-saving efforts and public service to all of us in Puerto Vallarta and throughout Banderas Bay."
Carol Clarke was one of the first to purchase the $200 peso 14-month calendars, saying, "First responders are the unsung heroes who respond day and night to life threatening situations without hesitation or delay. They deserve tonight's recognition."
Calendars went on sale Saturday morning and are available at Salud Super Food, the PVRPV.com office, Deja New Consignment, The Coffee Cup in the Marina, Alexander A Salon in Plaza Marina, or online at BomberosCalendar.com. 100% of the $200 pesos donation will benefit the Departments' training and education programs.
