Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Local American author and creator of Learn Vallarta and the popular Escape Route Vallarta blog, Sandra Cesca, has been busy adding three new walking tours to her offerings for visitors and residents alike.
Aimed at immersing folks in the culture while learning a bit more about our beautiful city, these three new walks, as well as the others already available with Sandra, will expand choices for those wishing to do something different.
Tropical Plant Walk - Sandra designed this walk last May for the Bugambilia Festival and it was such a hit that it is now a regular choice this season for gardeners and anyone interested in the plants and flowers of tropical Vallarta. This is a two hour walk through Old Vallarta covering about 70 examples of tropical plants including their herbal, medicinal, and ceremonial uses based on local and indigenous history and folklore.
French Language Walks - The popular Architecture and History of Gringo Gulch and Southside Walks are now available to the many French speakers coming to Vallarta, mainly from Quebec. Charter flights and RV caravan groups in particular bring thousands of French Canadians to Vallarta every year. Walk Vallarta! Learn Vallarta! is the only company offering walking tours in French. These walks were offered last February as a market study and were well-received. Now they are available Monday-Saturday for two hours.
German Language Walks - This is a totally new endeavor and will include the two walks that are also given in French (and of course English). German tourists are on the increase in Vallarta, so this season will indicate if giving walks in German is a viable service.
