Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - On December 19th from 1:30-3:30 pm, you can learn how to create beautiful art from your photographs, choose printers, paper and inks, find free Photoshop video lessons, and more within the glorious surroundings of the Vallarta Botanical Gardens.
As an artist who uses a camera to paint, digital photoartisan Mike Laking incorporates computer graphic and free-hand drawing techniques on his own original photographs to produce international award winning art.
Laking's art is printed using museum quality archival inks, paper and canvas, and his unique photoart is held in numerous collections across Canada, United States, Europe and Mexico. Mike has taught with the renowned Summer School of the Arts at St. Lawrence College in Brockville, and will be presenting his fourth annual workshop in support of the Vallarta Botanical Gardens.
The December 19th workshop is also the gallery opening for an exhibition focusing on Mexican orchids that Mr. Laking is presenting at the Gardens until the 31st of December.
BONUS! All session participants will be offered a chance to win a free, private session with Mike and watch as he turns your favorite digital photo into a work of art.
Advanced reservations are recommended. Please write to info(at)vbgardens.org to confirm your attendance and space availability. Workshop will be conducted in English, with Spanish translation available if requested in advance.
