Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - On Monday, April, 14, 2014, our Seder in Puerto Vallarta will continue in the tradition that Mel Bornstein established. Sadly, Mel died in June, 2013, but his spirit will be with us. Since it is impossible for one person to fill Mel's size 16 shoes, your assistance and understanding is needed to continue Mel's legacy.
Our Seder will be held at The River Café. The price is $400 pesos with the arrival time starting at 6:00 pm. There will be a traditional Seder with the dinner consisting of: gefilte fish, matzo ball soup, brisket, roast chicken, roasted herb potatoes, steamed mixed vegetables, dessert, coffee, tea, and kosher wine.
The assistance of volunteers is necessary in order to make the Seder a success. Since Passover is very late this year, there will be fewer people in attendance. Since many people will have already left Puerto Vallarta, think of us as a large, caring family that works well together.
Volunteers are needed to:
• hand out and collect the Haggadahs,
• hand out song sheets,
• work at the registration table,
• assist in typing and printing song sheets,
• help the children with the Four Questions
• perform the candle lighting ceremony (loan or donation of candle sticks needed)
