Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - As part of their Every Tuesday Night Film series, the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico is proud to present this week's movie, Chasing Ice at the Paradise Community Center on Vallarta's South side on April 22nd at 7:00 pm.
Chasing Ice - Acclaimed National Geographic photographer James Balog's Extreme Ice Survey discovers undeniable evidence of our changing planet. In this 75 minute documentary, Balog deploys revolutionary time-lapse cameras to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers. The Huffington Post says it is "one of the most beautiful and important films ever made." Winner of the Sundance Cinematography Award and nominee for an Academy Award, 'Chasing Ice' is a fitting film to address our changing fragile planet on Earth Day, 2014.
Gates open at 5:30 pm and all films begin at 7:00 pm. During the month of April, tickets are only available at the door for a donation of $60 pesos. We invite U.S. Expats to come early this week for voter registration assistance for the upcoming 2014 election. All movie-goers can enjoy the food vendors, wine, beer and other refreshments available at the Community Center before the show.
