Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - One of the most important amateur soccer events in Mexico, the Copa Vallarta Soccer tournament, will be celebrating its twelfth year of giving young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills against the best national and international competitors while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.
Both males and females from 6 to 18 years of age will be competing in multiple categories, as well as a free-style category, at various venues around the city from May 14-18, 2014. It is expected that anywhere from 150 to 180 national teams will be participating, with the kids utilizing every available soccer field in Vallarta every day from 8 am to 8 pm.
Historically, the Copa Vallarta provides the country's top coaches with the opportunity to identify and scout the most talented young players in Mexico. This year, professional league scouts from the Jalisco, Atlas, Chivas, Tecos, and Pachuca teams are expected to attend.
Considering the importance of this tournament, it will be a great source of national and international tourism for Vallarta.
All competitions are free and open to the public, so grab your friends and family and come out and support our young athletes.
