Tulum, Mexico - From the creator of The Bachelor franchise comes the new summer series, Bachelor in Paradise. Some of "The Bachelor's" biggest stars and most talked about villains are back. They all left "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette" with broken hearts but now they know what it really takes to find love, and on "Bachelor in Paradise" they'll get a second chance to find their soul mates amidst the ancient Mayan ruins and soft, white-sand beaches of Mexico's famed Riviera Maya.
Fan favorites Marquel Martin and Michelle Money will be joining the cast, which will feature 14 former Bachelor contestants, including Cody Sattler, Christy Hansen, Brooks Forester, Danielle Ronco, Jackie Parr, Dylan Petit, Lucy Aragon, Marcus Grodd, Chris Bukowski, Kalon McMahon, Zack Kalter and Tasos Hernandez.
In addition, People reports that AshLee Frazier, Ben Scott, Clare Crawley, Daniella McBride, Elise Mosca, Graham Bunn, Lacy Faddoul, Michelle Kujawa, Robert Graham, Sarah Herron, Martin and Money will all join Petit and Grodd during the arrival ceremony, while Forester, Bukowski, Hansen, Sattler, Ronco, Parr, McMahon, Aragon, Hernandez, Kalter and Jesse Kovacs will be popping up and making surprise appearances throughout the show.
For seven weeks, the group will live together in an isolated romantic paradise and the seven episodes will follow these former bachelors and bachelorettes as they explore new relationships.
"To kick off the show, 14 former Bachelor stars will arrive at the tropical destination to spend time getting to know each other, but at the end of the night only six men will hand out roses – leaving two women flowerless and on a flight back home," writes People. "After the first night, each episode brings two new Bachelor alum members into the mix, alternating between men and women for seven weeks, as viewers watch old romances being rekindled and new sparks being ignited."
E Online reports that the show's longtime production designer Angelic Rutherford only had 12 days to pull the set together, but she says Tulum's cultural flair and the wide array of local artisans made it "easy to find inspiration."
"We were all really excited to shoot the show in a different location besides the Bachelor mansion," Rutherford told E Online. "This was a whole different show with a whole different design vibe."
It all comes together in the romantic television event of the summer, beginning Monday, August 4th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on ABC.
