Vallarta's Galerķa Contempo Reopens October 1, 2014

September 30, 2014

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - Galerķa Contempo, one of Vallarta's favorite art galleries, is delighted to present two new artist for the upcoming high season, which begins with the gallery's reopening on Wednesday, October 1st.

Showcasing contemporary artwork, paintings and bronze statues by well-known and selected up-and-coming Mexican artists, the gallery houses an impressive art collection on two levels, and this year they are adding two new artists to their select talent roster.

GABRIELA EPSTEIN

When looking at Epstein's work, you can have the certainty that if one of the elements is removed the whole composition would fall over, that there is no space for the inclusion of anything other than what she allowed to be included: a set of shapes that surprise us for their massive character and organization. Gabriela's work is a space where shapes call on each other, luck of mutual and infinite reciprocities that cannot allow the abandonment of a glance.

MARIA BAYARDO

You might say that it was the artist within Bayardo who discovered the sensual woman she had kept concealed. From this awakening, figures began to emerge in which she found herself reflected. The process healed many things and freed her to confront many others. With her sculptures, Bayardo is discovering a passage that integrates past, present, and a projection of a future in which she is a free woman. Some of her pieces are people who rise up from a stormy experience, while others are an expression of the sensation of freedom.

Open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm, and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, Galeria Contempo is located at Basilio Badillo 252 at the corner of Ignacio Vallarta in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta.
