Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - When you make your move to Mexico, you expect that you'll be celebrating life as it should be celebrated, and that every day is going to be pretty sweet. Well, there ARE a lot of sweet things to be experienced in Puerto Vallarta, and you can find some of them at PV Cupcakes.
PV Cupcakes is a gourmet bakery, serving over 30 different cupcakes, along with cookies, pies, decorated cakes and homemade candies. It is located at #64 Plaza Caracol on the perimeter corner facing the Cornerstone Hospital emergency entrance.
Even though there is a wide variety of flavors, owner, Victoria Jimenez is always creating new ones. "I've gotten a couple recipes from my grandma, some family recipes and then some I mix, I use some modern recipes that I combine with classics, I put them together and make them my own," says Victoria, "our signature is a vanilla cake with a lemon filling so it is a little sour and sweet, the top sellers right now are the red velvet with the cream cheese frosting and the triple chocolate, which is always a sell out, because everyone loves chocolate."
Her parents have owned restaurants all her life so she's been in the business by default. Her dad was a chef at the Brown Derby in Las Vegas and she says he taught her a lot, she baked with her during the holiday season and she says that she got all her business sense from her mother. All of them have been great inspirations.
PV Cupcakes can cater large events with a variety of sweets and set up an amazing table sure to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth.
Victoria says she opened the gourmet cupcake shop because there was not one in the Banderas Bay area, and she seems to have made the right move, having already expanded to a larger space after only one year in business.
