New York, New York – The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board partnered with Edible Manhattan in the fourth annual 'Edible Escapes' tasting event on Thursday, October 30th from 6 to 9 pm at New York City's Metropolitan Pavilion.
Represented by one of TripAdvisor's 'Best Fine Dining Restaurants in México,' Trio's Executive Chef Bernhard Guth worked with renowned New York Chef Frankies Spuntino to show off Puerto Vallarta's diverse gastronomy and seafood offerings. The pair served an octopus grilled dish with guajillo and garlic on hummus and cilantro that had lines circling the Puerto Vallarta table.
One of the top culinary events on the East Coast of the United Stated, Edible Escapes is the yearly event of Edible Manhattan, part of the largest culinary publishing company in the USA with 8 regional magazines across the East Coast.
Over 700 attendees nibbled and sipped on various dishes and drinks from around the world, sampling fare from such countries as Spain, Austria, Italy and more. The event is designed to highlight both national and international travel destinations through food and drink.
During the event, LATITUDE, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board's agency in the United States and Canada, distributed aprons with the destination's logo as well as tourism brochures. A sweepstakes to win a trip to Puerto Vallarta and experience its culinary offerings was also held during the week to promote the event and PV's participation.
