Puerto Vallarta, Mexico The Annual Puerto Vallarta Mardi Gras Parade will hit the streets on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 8 pm. This city-sponsored parade will start in front of the Municipal Stadium and travel south along the world-famous Malecón, through "Old Town" to Olas Altas and the stunning new pier that inspired this year's logo designed by Guillermo Palafox Hernandez.
Grand Marshalls, leading the 3.5 km parade, will be Act II's Voice of Vallarta contestants. Over 20,000 spectators enjoyed last year's parade which featured dozens of crowd-wowing entries. This year, coordinators are offering a $5,000 peso cash prize to the most inventive parade entry and optimistic that participation will be record-setting.
Non-profit organizations are encouraged to join free for the parade. For businesses, now is the time to reserve your parade entry, which are in a limited number, for $200 pesos. Register at mardigraspv.com.
