Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - Among the activities of the Organizing Committee of the Fourth National Charro Championship Grand Premio 2015, to be held from the 29th January to February 1st at Arena Vallarta, is the selfless support to non-profit institutions, such as the Red Cross.
In addition, Charro Championship participants will feel more comfortable because there will be first-rate medical services at the arena. The Red Cross paramedics are duly certified, although clearly no competitor are expected to get hurt.
2015 Charro Championships Program
On Thursday, the 29th at 2:00 pm a Mass will be celebrated at the Chapel Hacienda Serena, located in the Arena Vallarta, followed by the inauguration of the Fourth National Charro Championship Grand Premio 2015 at 3:30 pm.
At 4 pm, the first of the elimination rounds begin, with the Tequila Don Roberto, Rancho Los Cerritos, decharros.com, and host Hacienda Serena teams competing, a skirmish by Cañón de Huajuco and a performance by Mariachi Internacional Real de América.
At 7:30 pm, the remaining first-round teams: Hacienda Tamariz of Puebla, Regional Texcoco and Tlalixtac de Oaxaca will compete, followed by a skirmish by the Santo Cristo team from Zacatecas.
At 4 pm, the 2nd set of second-round teams: Los Tres Potrillos, Rancho Las Cuatas, and Tequila Hacienda Vieja -A- join in the competition, followed by skirmishes by national champions El Tulipán de Querétaro and a performance by Mariachi Navidad de Mascota.
At 7:30 pm, the remaining second-round teams: Hacienda de Triana Zacatecas, Regional de La Villa -Oro- and Rancho Agua Santa -A- vie for the championship, followed by the beautiful El Herradero de Jalisco charras. Afterwards, everyone will head to downtown Puerto Vallarta for the traditional Maleconeada (Charro parade along the Malecón.)
Saturday and Sunday Activities
At 4:00 pm: Charros de El Pedregal, los "Bigotones" Charros de Jalisco, Rancho La Biznaga and Rancho El Edén compete, followed by a demonstration by the Charra Pedregal ladies, who were national champions, and a performance by the Mariachi Internacional Real de América.
The final elimination rounds begin at 7:30 pm with Los Tamaulipecos, Valle de Saltillo and the Cresa de Nuevo León teams competing with four-time champions, Alteñitas de Guadalajara. This exciting day of rodeo action closes with a stellar performance by charro singer Diego Herrera and his band.
On Sunday, February 1st at 10:30 in the morning, a Holy Mass of thanksgiving will be held in the Hacienda Serena chapel, followed by the double-final rounds, with the top four skirmishes and top six charro teams competing for the grand prizes. After the first final, the Skirmish Queens, led by Her Gracious Majesty, Melissa Alejandra I, will perform at noon.
Offering daily competitions and lots of hot rodeo action, the 4th National Charro Championship 'Grand Premio 2015' is the perfect way to enjoy the real Mexico and its traditions. Entrance fees are just $80 pesos a day, and as a thank you to attendees, your ticket to Sunday's double final automatically enters you into a raffle for a late model car to be given away during the awards ceremony.
