Permaculture is a branch of environmental design and integrated water resource management that helps to regenerate and self maintain habitats and agricultural systems. Troy is working to organize regenerative and sustainable markets in Puerto Vallarta.
Martz is currently leading the effort to create a regional collective that aims to synchronize the organic food requirements of restaurants, hotels, and stores, with the production capabilities of city gardeners and rural farmers and ranchers. With millions of acres of surrounding Ejido land, the potential for transforming Puerto Vallarta into a "beyond organic" destination is remarkable. He will be speaking on ways that you can develop an urban garden on your decks or terraces.
