Update: The world of drag lost a luminary on Sunday, March 15, 2015, when Scott Weston, better known by his drag persona Cashetta, died in his sleep of an apparent heart attack at the age of 44. Rest in peace, Cashetta. You will be missed.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There's a fun, entertaining new show 'biz' act in town that is thrilling audiences with hilarious comedy, singing, magic and psychic readings. The Amazing Cashetta brings her 'Vegas' style performance to Puerto Vallarta for the month of March.

Born Scott Weston in Little Falls, New Jersey, Cashetta grew up near Manhattan. Her passionate desire in life was to be in show business and to have her own show in Las Vegas. Cashetta continued to hone her skills as she tried a string of professions from advertising to automobile sales while still holding fast to her dream of becoming a professional entertainer.

In the 90's she landed a job at Lips, a Manhattan restaurant that featured drag entertainment. At Lips she became a female impersonator, stand-up comedian and jazz singer. While looking for other ways to stand out, she remembered being interested in magic as a child, so she decided to add 'illusion' to her act.

After moving to Vegas she worked as a makeup artist and attended magic shows where she studied the magicians. When she returned to New York, she continued to perfect her magic and landed a spot at the Fez jazz club as a drag magician.

Cashetta got her name in the 80's when a friend told her that she needed a more exciting name with a lot more cache! So they came up with the name "Cashetta," and it's served her well ever since.

For over 18 years, Cashetta has entertained with her outrageous wit, charisma and crossover appeal. She is one of the most unique and sought after female impersonators. She is a one of a kind entertainer, who brings magic, comedy, singing and psychic entertainment to her audiences.

Cashetta has toured internationally and consistently plays to packed houses. Some of these venues include the former Debbie Reynolds Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Caroline's Comedy Club on Broadway, The Duplex in NYC, The Harmon Theater, The Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and The Art House and Crown and Anchor in Provincetown, MA.

Frequently performing on cruise ships, in Vegas showrooms and at resorts worldwide, Cashetta has shared the stage with such legends as Chita Rivera, Charo, Betty Buckley, Jennifer Holiday, Eartha Kitt and Patti LuPone and has opened for Cyndi Lauper. She has appeared on The Today Show, Late with Conan O'Brien and the Outlaugh Festival - Wisecrack on Logo with Margaret Cho.

During the summer and fall months in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Cashetta entertains as a headliner at the Blue Moon.
