Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Over the past few decades, working people and the middle class have faced unprecedented attacks from powerful corporations and the 1% - on our democracy, on our livelihoods, and on the planet on which we all depend.
On July 29, Bernie Sanders will be live-streaming a chat to thousands of "House Parties" being organized across the United States of America - and a few House Parties being held abroad!
In Puerto Vallarta, Paul Crist has (independently of Democrats Abroad) organized a Bernie Sanders House Party to be held at the River Cafe Restaurant on Wednesday, July 29, from 6 pm to 8 pm local time. Sanders' live-stream will begin promptly at 6:30 pm, so prompt arrival is encouraged.
There is no charge for attendance, and any food and beverage consumed is at the attendees' expense. (The River Café is offering an outstanding 3-course prix fixe dinner option for only $295 pesos.)
To date, Hillary Clinton and other Democratic hopefuls have not announced similar efforts to the Sanders House Party events, but if or when they do, we hope that a member of our community will step up and also organize an event to help her share her message. And we will certainly share that information with other Democrats Abroad Mexico members.
With country committees and local chapters in over 80 countries around the world, Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party organization for the millions of Americans living outside the United States.
