Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The world is a space where a surprising amount of different, interesting, and talented people live. That's why the theme for the 2015 Summer Courses at Biblioteca Los Mangos is: "We are teaming up in a world where we are all different but equal."
This will be the 13th year that Puerto Vallarta's Public Library has offered Summer Courses for children aged 3 to 13. We're talking four wonderful weeks filled with dozens of fun and educational activities that range from the arts, culture, and environmental conservation to workshops that stimulate creative thinking, physical development and teamwork - all in a environment of respect and cooperation.

'I Am Force and Motion' Workshops, in which the theme is individuality, include: • Yoga • Modeling (art)

'I Am Intelligent' Workshops, which teach self-awareness, include: • Nutrition • Inventions
• Puzzles / Chess • Detective / Riddles
'I Am Creative' Workshops with team projects include:
• Journalism • Literary creation / story writing • Mural Painting • Cooking
'I Am One With The World' Workshops include: • 'Around The World' journalism project • Eco-consciousness
• Volunteering for personal and social development
• Journalism Project / Recording Studio
Gymkana:
Each Wednesday is dedicated fully to Gymkana activities. Gymkhana is a spontaneous free play exercise with flexible rules that teaches teamwork. Students and teachers work together to accomplish a goal. In these exercises, the results are secondary to the primary focus - team effort - the children's ability to work together with respect and cooperation.
Camp Night:
This year's overnight camp will be on August 7th and is open to children 6 and up for an extra cost. Details will be given upon registration.
'Big Kids' from 6 to 13 years of age. A maximum of 20 children will be enrolled in the Mini courses and a maximum of 25 children in the Big Kids groups.

• Full Mini course - 2,200 pesos / Full Big Kids Course - 2,000 pesos
• 2 weeks Mini - 1,300 pesos / 2 weeks Big Kids - 1,200 pesos
• 1 week Mini - 700 pesos / 1 week Big Kids 650 pesos
• Per day Mini - 160 pesos / per day Big Kids - 150 pesos

Requirements are very simple: 2 passport-size photographs; Copy of proof of address; Identification of parent or guardian; Identification of people who pick up the camper; and Child's Birth Certificate.
