Hollywood, California - Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment have just announced that Mexico City will host the Spectre Premiere of the Americas on Monday, November 2.
The premiere of 'Spectre' in the Americas will follow on the heels of the film's world premiere in London and marks the first time that Mexico has hosted an international James Bond premiere. The November 2 date will have the movie's premiere coinciding with the colorful Day of the Dead festivities across Mexico, which are featured in the movie's opening sequence.
"We owe our magnificent Day of the Dead opening sequence, shot in Mexico City, to the expert craftsmanship of our wonderful British and Mexican crews," say franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. "With 2015 being the Year of Mexico in the UK and the Year of the UK in Mexico, it is fitting that the Americas Premiere will take place in Mexico City."
The Spectre cast includes Daniel Craig, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Jesper Christensen and Ben Whishaw.
Directed once again by Skyfall's Sam Mendes, Spectre is written by John Logan and Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Following a UK release on October 26, Spectre will begin its rollout in North America and South America on November 6.
