Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - On March 4th, Puerto Vallarta's Who's Who will gather at Club Regina in Marina Vallarta for the 2016 Becas Ball to help raise funds for local students with great potential and almost no financial assets.
Becas provides scholarships to hundreds of Puerto Vallarta youth who would not otherwise be able to go to school because their parents cannot afford school uniforms, proper shoes and school supplies such as the notebooks and pencils, pens, etc. that are required. Becas Vallarta provides all of that for students from Preparatory through University.
In short, Becas Vallarta is "Changing Lives Through Education" - and you can help the children of Vallarta go to school, while having a Ball!
The 2016 Becas Ball promises to be a beautiful moonlit night by the sea on the outdoor patio at the Club Regina in the Marina Vallarta. This year's theme is "Guelaguetza - Viva Oaxaca," and will feature traditional food and entertainment from Oaxaca. The fun begins at 6:00 pm with a cocktail party, followed by a sit-down dinner that's fit for royalty. During dinner, and afterwards, there will be music for your listening pleasure and for dancing on one of the two dance floors.
For just $1700 pesos per person, you'll enjoy an evening of cocktails, dining, dancing and wonderful entertainment, all the while helping Vallarta's young people. Many of the scholarship recipients will be in attendance, so our guests will have an opportunity to talk to the students. So save the date! March 4th, 2016.
In addition to the Becas Ball, Becas Vallarta holds five breakfasts a season at popular Vallarta restaurants. Apart from good food and a chance to meet friends, old and new, the breakfasts offer many raffle prizes, silent auction and gift bags. These popular events are usually sold out, so contact one of the Becas volunteers whose names and numbers are listed below to reserve tickets for the next Becas Breakfast, scheduled for February 17th at The River Café.
