Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - We hope 2016 has come in with great health and great promise for each of you. We are so excited to update you on our fashion show held on January 16th and tell you about Riverfest coming on March 5th.

Fashion Show Record - 114,175 pesos!

The 3rd Annual Deja New sponsored Pasitos de Luz fashion show luncheon was a huge success. 237 people bought tickets to attend a day to remember! The afternoon at River Cafe started with a bang when Kathleen Palmer presented 23,000 pesos to Yolanda Sanchez, the Founder of Pasitos de Luz. The funds came from donors who brought clothes to Deja New Consignments and specified that proceeds go to the Pasitos de Luz account. This amazing donation was quickly followed by Alexander A Salon owner, Alex Daoud, who donated 5000 pesos from proceeds of cutting hair at the La Cruz Sunday market!

Raffle winner Cheryl Wheeler returned her share of the pot, which helped to contribute to the record breaking 114,175 pesos brought in at the show. Add that to the consignment donation from Kathleen Palmer and hair cutting donation from Alex and the kids of Pasitos de Luz and their families came out winners!

As one first-time attendee said, "I was so impressed with it - from the super fashion show; prizes; auction items and lovely setting and nice food!" Another guest who enjoyed the event indicated "the event went flawlessly!" Many are waiting for next year already!

A bonus highlight was Lorena Peril who rocked the show! Her infectious smile and great voice had people up dancing! Special thanks go out to all the individuals and businesses who donated to the raffles and auction and everyone who was involved in any way. Your generosity helps make dreams come true!

5th Annual Riverfest - Saturday March 5th

The 5th annual Riverfest is being held on Saturday, March 5th at El Rio BBQ Bar in Paso Ancho from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 pm.

Riverfest is a showcase for 6 to 7 local bands/musicians from around Banderas Bay. In addition to the music, people can browse artisan exhibits and feast on great BBQ along with the bay's best paella provided by Barcelona Tapas.

We feature a silent auction, 50/50 and you can even get your hair cut at the event by Alex Daoud from Alexander A Salon, who donates all his proceeds for the day to Pasitos.

While we are still confirming the music line-up, expect to hear King David Bailey, the Zippers, Lorena Peril, and several others.

Admission is only 80 pesos per person at the gate, but you can further support the cause and purchase patron tickets (750 pesos per person), which offer increased support for the kids, a welcome margarita or beer, free snacks and appetizers, gate entry, limited early bird parking, one free serving of the fabulous buffet provided by both El Rio and Barcelona Tapas from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, priority reserved seating for viewing the entertainment, unlimited non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day, and great music!

You will receive a VIP patron reserved table for a group of eight at a special reduced rate of 5250 pesos. That's one free ticket! As a sponsor you will be providing much needed support for Pasitos de Luz and will receive 8 VIP patron tickets with all patron benefits for a fabulous day to distribute as you wish!
