Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The 2016 Vallarta Reggae Festival, featuring Ky Mani Marley, the son of legendary musician Bob Marley, will be held on Friday, March 25 at the Flamingos esplanade, behind Mega Comercial Mexicana in the South Hotel Zone.
"The festival will allow locals and visitors to enjoy a one-of-a-kind concert," said organizer Kassiano, who is well known in the region as an outstanding performer of the genre. "And it is the first time a 'Marley' will be among us."
Marley's representatives say the singer is excited to come to Mexico, particularly to Puerto Vallarta, which is sure to create a strong connection between the musician and the festival goers.
The music will begin at 4:00 pm with DJ Cosio spinning Reggae classics to set the mood. Though the line-up of performances has not yet been released, the bands will start playing at 6:00 pm and stop playing at 10:30 pm.
Approximately 10,000 Reggae-lovers are expected to come together for this unique festival, as the event coincides with the Semana Santa (Easter) holidays. Those who can't attend can catch all of the 2016 Vallarta Reggae Festival action on channel C7 Jalisco.
General admission tickets start at $280 pesos; and tickets for seating in the VIP area, which includes lounge seating areas, waiters, open bar, free appetizers, shaded areas and a large-screen event monitor, start at $1500 pesos; tickets for both options are now available for online purchase at VallartaTickets.com.
