Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Summer is about to begin and with it the school holidays. What better way for kids to spend them than in a fun and creative way?
That is why the Vallarta Institute of Culture has prepared the 2016 Summer Courses on the Island, where children ages 7-12 will have the opportunity to create and learn from an ecological and respectful vision of the environment, as well as learn a little history about the Isla Rio Cuale and its surroundings.
Set to take place from July 18 through August 5, the program integrates artistic activities such as singing, theater, sculpture, puppet-making, creative writing, storytelling, and other fun and educational activities.
The ultimate goal of the Summer Course is a theatrical show in which the children will perform, through visual, fine and performing arts, what they learned during the three weeks of the workshop; from making puppets, creating stories and writing poetry, to vocalization, creating characters, etc.
The program is designed so that each class has a thematic relationship to the others, which will help the children achieve the final production.
"Summer on the Island" will also feature safety courses led by different municipal departments, including: an Ecology Workshop by the Directorate of Environment and Ecology; a Crime Prevention Class by the Department of Public Safety; and a First Aid Course by the Directorate of Fire and Civil Protection. All of these workshops are especially designed for children.
Treat your little ones to a summer full of fun and games, along with creative and educational activities that will inspire them and build their confidence. For more information and registration call (322) 223-0095 or 113-0107.
