Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Calling all artists! Plans are underway for the Fifth Annual Puerto Vallarta 'El Río del Arte' (River of Art) expo, scheduled to take place at Oscar's Restaurant on the Rio Cuale from 12-6 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

"We're thrilled to present our 5th annual 'River of Art' fundraiser for the Colina Spray & Neuter clinic on Oscar's picturesque and spacious grounds for the second year," Paso Ancho Art Association (PAAA) organizers and artists, Carolina Archer and Ada Colorina, said. "Last year's event, which featured the works of fifty-seven talented artists, live entertainment and cool sea breezes in an elegant space, was a smashing success!"

Would you like the opportunity to show off (and sell) your art AND support a fantastic local charity? If so, this is the event for you!

All forms of art - watercolors, oils, mixed media, acrylic, charcoal, stained glass, etc. - and artistic styles - from native portraits, landscape and folk to collage and contemporary - are accepted. Although a theme is not required, participating artists are encouraged to think "Holidays" (Peregrinaciones, Christmas, Hanukkah) when creating their presentations.

Each artist will be designated ample space to exhibit. Artists must provide their own equipment, including easels, screens, tables, etc. Shade will be provided.

All participating artists are asked to donate 20% of their art sales and to donate a piece of art for raffle or silent auction prizes. Proceeds will benefit the Colina Free Spay-Neuter Clinic, a permanent facility in the Old Town/Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta that provides free spay and neutering services to pet owners who otherwise would be unable to get their pets "fixed."

'El Río del Arte' is the only event of its kind in Puerto Vallarta, drawing large crowds of enthusiastic art and animal lovers. With the fabulous success of last year's event, organizers expect to sell more art and raise even more money for the Colina Free Spay & Neuter Clinic this year.
