'Laurel Canyon' Debuts at the Red Room December 1st

November 28, 2016

Act II STAGES is located in the Zona Romantica, on the corner of Insurgentes and Basilio Badillo, just a short stroll from the beach on the South side of Puerto Vallarta. For more info, call (322) 222-1512.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - For three seasons Renee Armand and Paul Aleman have been coming to The Red Room Cabaret, performing their marvelous Rocky Mountain High show featuring the music of John Denver.

Renee, a John Denver band member during the height of the music's popularity, has continued to share amazing, true stories about her life, her career and the many famous singers she has performed with. In addition to touring and recording with many other famous musicians, Renee's performance of "There Has To Be A Morning After," from the hit movie, The Poseidon Adventure, even won an Academy Award!

Danny Minnini, Act II's founder and director, begged Renee to create another show based on her real life travels on the road with so many famous singers. And that is just what Laurel Canyon is all about!

Laurel Canyon, the crossroads between Beverly Hills and Hollywood, was the "golden" place where crazy young musicians created some of rock n' roll's best music of the 60's and 70's. Artists like Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Judy Collins, the Beatles, Mamma Cass, the Eagles, David Crosby, Steven Sills, Graham Nash, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell and Renee Armand lived... and loved... and wrote music... that affected a lifetime!

Renee Armand and Paul Aleman are excited to present "Laurel Canyon," the untold story. Performed brilliantly in songs and stories, Renee will share things that she has never talked about... until now! Some of it will shock you, some will make you cry, some will make you laugh, but most of all, you'll be glad you came!

Renee and Paul presented "Rocky Mountain High" (The Definitive Tribute to John Denver) last season to sold-out audiences and will return with that beloved show on December 3rd at 7:30 pm for One Night Only. Even John Denver's wife, Annie, has been in the audience and she absolutely loved the show!

Laurel Canyon is their new, highly anticipated show that will draw audiences in from the moment they take the stage. Renee and Paul will entertain with the fabulous songs and the real-life stories of the 60's and 70's in an evening of nostalgia and pure musical delight!

Please join Vallarta favorites Paul and Renee for their new show and welcome back party for opening night on Thursday, December 1 at 6:30 pm. Let's show them just how much we love them and their music!

Additional performances of Laurel Canyon are scheduled at The Red Room Cabaret at Act II on December 8th and 10th at 7:30 pm and on December 6th at 9:30 pm.

When you are in the presence of astonishing musical talent and expertise, it's thrilling! Renee Armand and Paul Aleman once again bring that magic to Puerto Vallarta audiences at Act II Stages. This is a show that you won't want to miss!

Tickets to all shows can be purchased online at actiientertainment.com, at the box office, which opens at 10 am on show days, or at the 2nd Box Office location, across the street from Garbos on Pulpito Street in the Romantic Zone.
