Year after year, some of the most prestigious fishermen from all over the world have come to fish the waters of Banderas Bay and compete for big trophies, great prizes and bragging rights.
Due to the success of previous tournaments, and thanks to the support of city authorities, local sponsors, the media, Fishing Club members and the community in general, the 61st edition of the Puerto Vallarta International Fishing Tournament promises to be a spectacular event.
Anglers will compete daily to win prizes for catching the largest [that comply with local regulations] sailfish, marlin, dorado and tuna in the waters of Banderas Bay. Featured prizes range from brand new cars to fishing rods and reels, art, hotel stays and a large cash prize.
