Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - Get ready for an unforgettable evening of fabulous fun, food and friendship at the 2017 Patotón Fundraiser for SETAC - Tu Centro Comunitario. Scheduled to take place on the pool side terrace of Boana Torre Malibu on Wednesday, February 22 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm, this community event gets bigger and better every year! This year's theme is Carnaval, so fasten your seat belts, ladies and gentlemen!
Now in it's 8th year, the Patotón (or 'Duckathon') is an original and entertaining event, where hundreds of colorful rubber duckies, each with its own assigned number, are cast into the pool at Torre Malibu. Raffle tickets with corresponding numbers are sold to raise money for SETAC programs.
While you anxiously watch and wait for the bikini-clad "go-go boys" to dive into the pool to collect the toy ducks and call out your number to see which of the fabulous prizes (donated by Puerto Vallarta businesses) that you've won, you'll enjoy appetizers provided by some of the city's finest restaurants, an open bar, and incredible entertainment, which this year includes: a Mariachi Band, MC Fifi, the DJ from the New Year's Eve Block Party on Olas Altas, and HX Magazine's six-time Drag Queen of the Year Award-winner, the legendary "green goddess" of drag, Hedda Lettuce!
Tickets for the 8th Annual Patotón are available for a donation of $600 pesos or $450 pesos for locals con IFE at the SETAC Community Center, Río Santiago #174 in Fluvial, or on Vallarta's south side at Applegate Realtors, Olas Altas #477; Hotel Mercurio, Francisca Rodríguez #168; and Piñata PV, Carranza #322. Your donation will help SETAC to continue such important community programs as:
• Free condom distribution
• HIV rapid tests, education, counseling and prevention
• Providing infant formula for children of mothers living with HIV
• "Brigades for Life" in communities throughout the Banderas Bay region
• Specialist referrals (free or at low cost;)
• and much, much more.
For more information about the event or any of the services provided by SETAC, please call (322) 224-1974. Donations like yours make it possible for SETAC to provide service and support to hundreds of residents in Puerto Vallarta that would otherwise be alone.
Everyone is welcome! We hope to see you on February 22, 2017 at Boana Torre Malibu, Amapas #325 on Los Muertos Beach, where everyone will have tons of fun while supporting a great cause.
