Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta continues its move into the future with the advent of new and innovative online services making their appearance almost every day. Now, PV native Gabrielle Tenney returns to her hometown with a fresh and tasty option, called Savvy & Well, based on her years of experience traveling the world as a chef.
Gabrielle launched her community-based online meal delivery service, Savvy & Well, here in Vallarta in mid-May. Similar to services popping up in the United States, the idea is to provide ready to prepare meals, using local ingredients sourced from the sea and farms of Banderas Bay.
Clients who sign up for the service have the option to choose from a selection of meals or recipes, available each week, from the Savvy & Well website. All of the fresh ingredients, pre-measured and portioned for you and your guests, are delivered right to your door, along with the recipe and instructions for each dish. All you add is a bit of your own magic in the kitchen.
When asked about her inspiration, Gabrielle raves about being back and working in Vallarta, "Even in a town with so many restaurants, there is nothing quite like enjoying a good meal at home that you prepare yourself. We want to offer people new ideas for dinner at home, and provide them with locally sourced quality food products to make them with."
Savvy & Well seeks to bring the community together through its partnerships with local farmers and organizations here in Vallarta, while empowering people to take control of their own health through better food education. 15% of proceeds from each S&W meal package fund culinary programming in low-income schools in the community.
