Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Los Mangos Library has just announced "Casino Night," a special fundraising event that will take place on Friday, May 19, from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. The event will feature game tables - craps, poker, black jack and roulette - beverages, DJ, raffles and snacks to enjoy a fun evening with friends, all for a good cause.
"All proceeds raised during our Casino Night will benefit the presentation of APAPACHO, an Early Education program, at the First Global Assembly for Knowledge Democracy (ARNA 2017) in Cartagena, Colombia," explained Los Mangos Director, Adriana García.
"Apapacho, which means 'cuddle' in Spanish, is a free learning program for children 24-36 months of age and their parents. It consists on six sessions, two hours each, on Saturday mornings. Our pilot program was very successful and we are presently going through our second cycle," she added.
The admission price for Los Mangos' Casino Night is $150 pesos per person, and it includes a courtesy drink and 150 "mangobucks" to begin playing. Participants can purchase additional mangobucks to continue playing and to purchase beverages during the adults-only event.
Los Mangos Library offers learning opportunities for children, teenagers and adults through a variety of cultural courses and workshops. It is located at Francisco Villa 1001, Colonia Los Mangos.
