Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - Whether you are looking for a fun way to stay in shape, or a chance to 'strut your stuff' in friendly competition, Puerto Vallarta is the place to be in June! The city is revving up for a series of Color Runs that focus less on breaking records and more on getting active and having a good time.

A few weeks ago, RunningRivieraNayarit.com announced the dates for the Color Running and the Vallarta Color Race competitions, which will take place on Sunday, June 4 and 18 respectively. Everyone is invited to participate in these races that offer fun and colorful family-friendly experiences.

Set to place on Sunday, June 4, at 8:40 am, the purpose of Color Running is to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together for an open category race like no other!

Participants can walk, run or jog along the 5K route that goes from La Unidad Deportiva Agustin Flores Contreras (Municipal Sports Stadium) to the Villa del Palmar Hotel and back. Along the way, you will be doused from head to toe with colorful powder, so by the end of the run everyone will be multicolored!

To enter the Color Running Race, you must register by Saturday, June 3. The registration fee is $220 pesos adults and $160 pesos for children, which includes a race kit that contains your competitor number, a commemorative t-shirt, sunglasses, and medal. Hydration will provided throughout the race and, at the end of the run, prizes provided by the event's sponsors will be raffled off among all participants.

Fluvial 260 L 13-14), Bahía Crossfit in colonia Villa Las Flores, Aequilibrium Bike (Viena 350 L5), Lake Fitness Store, Super Power Crossfit and Lasser Sport across from the Stadium. Registration is also available at RunningRivieraNayarit.com. There will be no registrations on the day of the event.

Set to take place on Sunday, June 18, at 8:00 am, the Vallarta Color Race offers 5K and 10K competitions along the same route. Participants are invited to walk, run or jog along the route, where five color stations will douse everyone with colorful powder, creating a festive atmosphere.

Registration for the Vallarta Color Race costs $250 pesos, which includes an event t-shirt, medal, sunglasses and hydration, is open now at Vallarta Fitness in Galerías Vallarta. More information will soon be published on RunningRivieraNayarit.com.
