Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There are just two words that must be said to Act II Entertainment's Founder/Managing Partner Danny Mininni and Musical Director Alfonso Lopez: "Mission accomplished!"

The Mission? Scouring the Banderas Bay area for the very best local talent and giving them a stage. The result? "Spotlight on Vallarta," a series of cabaret shows that puts the 'spotlight' on the incredibly talented performers that live in Puerto Vallarta full-time.

Created and co-produced by Danny and Alfonso, "Spotlight on Vallarta" has proven to be a HUGE hit with a 75% increase in ticket sales over last summer - and there's lots more incredible entertainment in store for Puerto Vallarta music lovers!

Spotlight on Vallarta continues in The Red Room this summer with the premier of some new shows starring local talent, like Diana Villamonte and the amazing musical duo UsTwo; and the return of some of your 'Spotlight' favorites, including Trinity, Gabe Arcineaga and Emperatriz Valles.

"UsTwo" Makes Stage Debut in The Red Room
Saturdays, July 22 & 29 at 7:30 pm

Act II is excited to welcome the amazing musical duo, "UsTwo," for the first time on its stage on Saturday, July 22, at 7:30 pm. Although new to Act II, UsTwo is definitely NOT new to the music scene. The beautiful Noemi Plasencia is from Guadalajara and studied at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Guadalajara. Daniel Celis is from Cordoba, Veracruz and studied at the Conservatory of Music in Querétaro. Both Noemi and Daniel sang in various bands around Mexico, but in 2012, Noemi and Daniel discovered each other and melded their incredible talents, creating an amazing chemistry together!

UsTwo has performed in many parts of Mexico, as well as the United States and Canada. They specialize in singing re-mastered arrangements of classic favorites and are much in demand at many of the major hotels in Puerto Vallarta, including the Sheraton, Garza Blanca, Vidanta, the Marriott and the Four Seasons, among others.

People are raving about the absolute beauty of their sound.

"Motown and Beyond"
Starring Diana Villamonte

We are so excited to present the amazing Diana Villamonte in the debut of her Red Room Cabaret Show for the winter season, "Motown and Beyond!" Her show is a musical tribute (in English) to the great ladies of Motown and Beyond, such as Diana Ross, Shirley Bassey, Whitney Houston, Anita Ward, Etta James, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin and Donna Summer.

Diana has quite an extensive background as an artist. She sang her first solo at her aunt's wedding at the age of 3, and since then has studied music, ballet, modeling and theater. She entered her first singing competition at age 10 and also performed in several local plays.

In 2014, she won the Karaoke World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden, and was asked to participate in the Tokyo International Karaoke competition for the following two years. She sang as the "guest artist" at the competition in Singapore in 2015. Then, as a result of the notoriety she received after her karaoke successes, she was asked to star in a reality show on television in Central America. She now has a huge television following!

Diana was also a member of a band called "The Players" for two years at the Hard Rock Hotel Panama, has produced two singles, "Te Amo" and "Running," (available on YouTube), and just finished a stint as one of the main singers at the fabulous Rhythms of the Night.

Diana gained our attention as she competed in the Voice of Vallarta 2017. Each week, she demonstrated her amazing versatility as a musician, wowing the audience and judges with her singing ability and incredible stage presence, and she received perfect 10's almost every week.

This young lady is one of the most talented people we have ever met, and she is destined to be a huge star! "Trinity" Returns!

After opening to a huge audience last month, Act II's newest sensation, Trinity, returned triumphantly to The Red Room stage on July 20. What a wonderful show they had! Trinity, a musical group featuring the Voice of Vallarta winners from 2015, 2016 and 2017 showcases the talents of Ana Adame, Eli Estrada, and Emperatriz Valles! The Voice of Vallarta was created originally to find and cultivate local talent, then to give them the opportunity to create a cabaret show and perform in The Red Room. Trinity is the climax of that dream! Each of these girls is an artist in her own right, but when they come together, they create magic! "The Gabest Show on Earth" (FINAL SHOW!)

Gabe Arcineaga's new cabaret show, The Gabest Show on Earth, opened on June 15 to a very excited, sold-out audience! Gabe, the handsome and talented man that many will remember from his incredible singing performances in the Encore Room last season, as well as the lead role in 39 Steps, totally lived up to his promise of an incredible show! This theatrical triumph, which was produced, directed and co-written by the fabulous Alfonso Lopez, was filled with beautiful music, poignant stories, incredible comedy, exuberant dancing and lots of gossip about his days of touring with Charo! People were riveted to their seats and could not believe the amount of talent this man has! This show is one of the most talked about opening nights in recent history! Emperatriz made her fabulous debut in The Red Room on Thursday, July 6, to a very excited and welcoming audience, and she was rewarded with a standing ovation! Her second show on July 13th was equally as good, if not better! Venezuelan recording artist Emperatriz Valles is the winner of Voice of Vallarta 2017, and is also a member of the now-famous musical group, "Trinity," which is comprised of the winners of Voice of Vallarta for 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Emperatriz is a native of Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, where she had a very successful career as a recording artist. Last year, she and her family moved to Puerto Vallarta, and Emperatriz was excited to learn about The Voice of Vallarta competition. She was an impressive contestant with a rich, velvety tone and soulful performances that captivated audiences and made her the undeniable winner of the entire competition!

In her cabaret show, Emperatriz performed alongside her famous husband, Alejandro Alcalá, who accompanied her on the acoustic guitar. She performed many Latin songs, some of them originals, that she had recorded in Venezuela. "El Estigma Ardiente" - Final Show!

Dionisio Theater Group presents the final show of its new play El Estigma Ardiente ("The Burning Stigma") on July 21 on The Main Stage of Act II Entertainment. This play, spoken in Spanish, and suitable only for adults, tells the story of a priest accused of abusing two children. Starring in the play is our very own Juan Pablo Hernandez, who has been performing in the popular show, Divas de Rancho, and Cesar Bravo, an award-winning local actor. It is directed by Juan Carlos Ramirez, who is also a member of Divas de Rancho.

This is the sixth play of the Dionisio Theater Group. The troupe will celebrate its fifth anniversary this year. The members of this group have won several awards in past theater endeavors here in the state of Jalisco. It's successful show of two years, Divas de Rancho, is also planning its final show of the second season in the city of Guadalajara before the opening of the third installment.
