Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Scheduled to take place from October 29 through November 1, 2017 at various venues in the Banderas Bay region, the ninth Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica is a "can't miss" event on the world's culinary calendar, bringing together a select group of renowned national and international chefs and showing that it's possible to blend haute cuisine, tourism and academia.
For four days, celebrities from the world of gastronomy, including chefs, sommeliers and lecturers will host a series of events celebrating the art of eating, drinking and living well at the event's headquarters, the Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Resort.
"Every year we've directed our passion towards bringing together the most relevant figures in the culinary scene so we can celebrate four days of authentic camaraderie, pooling together all the knowledge and experience from chefs, sommeliers, and speakers in an effort to be faithful to our objective of being a seminal event for professionals, students and lovers of gastronomy," said organizer Carlos Elizondo.
This year, Spain is the guest country, bringing 11 renowned chefs who altogether hold 13 Michelin Stars and 21 Soles Repsol, and Guanajuato is the guest state for the fourth consecutive year, with Chef Ambassador David Quevedo and Traditional Cooks Consuelo Venancio and Lourdes Camarena, all of whom will be bringing the best of their recipes and professional experiences 'to the table.'
There will be alternate venues including the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta and Villa Premier, as well as Tintoque restaurant, where they will hold gala dinners on October 30th and November 1st. A particular highlight is the welcome cocktail, organized by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, which will take place on October 29th at 8 pm at La Patrona Polo & Equestrian Club.
Organized by Grupo E-Consulting, the ninth edition of Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica is part of the joint efforts to promote Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit as a single destination. Gastronomy is fast becoming one of the most important attributes of the region, which means one of the CVBs' main objectives is the transformation of Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit into top culinary destinations, in addition to the preferred vacation spots they have become thanks to the Banderas Bay area's natural beauty and exemplary amenities and services.
