Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - If you are into Crossfit, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is the place to be from October 26-29th as Hotel Barceló hosts the second edition of the Double Weekend Challenge, an event focused on lovers of crossfit and 21st century physical training.

Bringing together people of both genders and all ages who enjoy sports and physical activities, this multi-discipline event will have 4 main categories: Beginners, RX, Intermediate and Masters.

Organized by Barceló Hotels, the Municipal Sports Commission (COMUDE), the Puerto Vallarta Convention and Visitors Bureau, and sponsored by Gatorade, the Double Weekend Challenge's objectives are to help promote Puerto Vallarta as a sports destination; to foster sports, and to attract tourism to Puerto Vallarta by means of quality, accessible sporting events.

So far, 184 participants have already registered and a minimum of 250 are expected. National participants will come from several states in Mexico, while international competitors are expected to fly in from United States and Canada.

In addition to the experience of being part of the Crossfit competition, participants will have the opportunity to attend conferences led by renowned crossfit and nutrition specialists. The event will also feature important athletes from the crossfit scene, raffles and an awards ceremony.

All inclusive Hotel Barceló packages are available with prices starting at $1649 pesos per person, per night, based on double occupancy. The general public can also attend as spectators or competitors by purchasing a day pass for just $549 pesos per day. Registration for competitors closes October 26.
